San Ramon FC organizes a fall recreational soccer season for its members. Typically, the fall season practices begin in mid-August for U7 – U19 teams (U5 – U6 teams start after Labor Day each year). Registration opens March 1st.
All team assignments are finalized by the end of July by the Development Director. Your volunteer coach will then contact you after their coaches' meeting concerning team details. The coaches’ meeting is held in late July each year. Please allow the coach up to August 5th to contact you with team details.
Unfortunately, when coaches, players and/or parents choose the teams, the teams can become unbalanced, and go against the primary goals of the recreational program. One of the benefits of recreational soccer is making new friends, experiencing new coaches and new techniques. Therefore, San Ramon FC does not accept any requests for player placement on a team. The only players that may remain on a specific team together will be children of the Head Coach and Assistant Coach.
- U5 and U6 teams practice 30 minutes prior to their game (10 games) on day each weekend, beginning after Labor Day
- ALL U7 players will practice together at Central Park one day per week and may also have a second weekly practice with their volunteer coach. See the U7 recreational page for more information.
- U8 to U19 teams will practice 1-2 days per week in San Ramon at a day, field and time most convenient for the head coach.
Depending on the work or personal schedules of our head coaches, they will determine the best days and times that they can be at the available fields to conduct practice sessions. Practice times can start as early as 4:00pm or as late as 6:30pm, and families, by registering, agree to the possibility of a start anywhere in this time frame. We cannot guarantee a start time, so parents should have their calendar open for a start time in the window provided.
If the weather is questionable, or there was heavy rain anytime within the 48-72 hours prior to your game or practice, please check the home page of the San Ramon FC website for field information. The website is updated by 2:30pm on weekdays, 8:00am on Saturdays and Sundays.
The field status (open or closed) is determined by the City of San Ramon. We encourage families to sign up for free field status alerts (text or email) from the City of San Ramon.
If there is no message on the website indicating a change in schedule due to bad weather, please assume the fields are open for play. On game day, if the weather worsens, the referee may be forced to make a call, at their discretion, upon arrival to the field.
See the Refund Policy link for more information.

All new U5-U19 players must purchase the San Ramon FC Adidas uniform package in addition to their registration and volunteer fees.
The recreational program wears the club jersey colors blue (home) and gray (away). Uniform kits include one pair of navy blue shorts, one pair of navy blue socks, one navy blue jersey, one white jersey and a San Ramon FC car magnet. These items are all part of the Adidas uniform kit (price subject to change) that can be purchased at Soccer-Pro in Dublin in early August each year.
Go to our uniform vendor, Soccer Pro, in Dublin beginning early August each year. Players will be sized on site and once families purchase the uniform the uniform is theirs to keep. Soccer Pro is located at 6635 Dublin Blvd., Suite F, Dublin, CA 94568.
For practices you should have your own soccer ball in the appropriate size (size 3 for U5 to U8), size 4 for U9 though U12 and size 5 for U14 through U19. Appropriate shin guards are mandatory. Players without shin guards may not practice or play in games. Players must always bring water to each practice and game.
Every child that participates in our U5 program will receive “participation trophies” at the conclusion of each season. Championship awards will be distributed at our Awards Night each December for age group winners in the U9-U19 age groups in each gender. If a team participates in a league not administered by San Ramon FC, such as those our U16-U19 teams play in, all awards are provided by the league and San Ramon FC has no input into the selection of those awards.
